green oil
Daniel asked:

I spilled some green oil based enamel on wall to wall office carpet. Used mineral spirits and paper towels to get most of it out, but it’s late and there’s nowhere for me to get more so i have to wait til morning.Besides mineral spirits, what other options do i have to clean this mess?

Find a way to get some now. If you wait until morning, you bought a new carpet. The cleaning people may have something. If nothing else try putting some powdered detergent(like for clothes) on it. It may absorb some of the paint.

if that paint drys , even a little that carpet is history - keep it wet with paint thinner or turpentine and scrub scrub scrub (not paint remover that will eat the carpet) wet vac also to suck it out as you keep soaking and scrubbing. good luck!
